With FREEWIFI.ne, the canton of Neuchâtel offers both local digital nomads and tourists free Wi-Fi access with secure authentication, available at 600 sites with one single identifier.
As part of a public/private partnership, the partners listed below have implemented a shared infrastructure providing Wi-Fi access in the canton of Neuchâtel.
The public partners:

- the City of Neuchâtel
- the City of La Chaux-de-Fonds
- The Centre d'information, de gestion et d'économie de santé (centre for health information, management and economics)

Future development
FREEWIFI.ne is open to collaboration with administrative bodies or private entities with a view to opening new Wi-Fi access points.
The objectives for the future are to extend coverage, in order to meet the needs of users in the busiest areas of each municipality, and to provide the FREEWIFI.ne service to shops and restaurants so that their customers can take advantage of it.
